How much does catering usually cost per person?
Catering costs can range a-lot depending on several factors from event size, number of courses and complexity of the dishes. In general plan on between $20.00 per person up to $120.00 per person.
What is the easiest format for catering?
A buffet is usually the most efficient and cost effective catering format as your guests serve themselves and the catering staff can stay positioned in a central location
Is cleanup and table clearing included in catering services by a busser or wait staff?
While this depends on the format of your event, usually yes, catering services include clean up of tables and bussing. Even when guests are offered the opportunity to discard or clear their place settings, events have an inherent culture of relaxation and fun, meaning that items will need to be dealt with regardless. In this sense, a catering service being prepared to assist with bussing and clean up is a best practice.
Does a catering company supply beverages?
Catering company beverage service is often coordinated alongside bar service and when alcohol is being served, the bar tender, venue or company handling alcohol takes priority over the catering company. Many catering companies do not handle alcohol at all due to licensing reasons but are often equipped to supply non alcoholic beverages.
Who charges me for dishware at an event, the venue or the catering company?
Dishware is usually provided by the catering company and is included in your primary quote for catering services. The customer or venue may have the option to provide their own paper plates, cups and plastic ware at a reduced cost which is a good way to have your event on a reduced budget.
